It's early days, but... ... once again I've awoken to a glorious sunny day here in Kenya. It seems I'm blessed to be visiting ALC now, as I hear snow is abound back in Blighty.
Jean and Linda drove down to Dorset to visit the Coopers on Friday 27th January. This family travelled for several months in Southern Africa in 2011, visiting several locations, including the Aquinoe Learning Centre, and distributing items which had been donated in the UK.
Tina was delighted to be invited by Irwin Keith to speak at a Crieff Probus meeting on 17th January. Approximately 50 members packed the British Legion Hall to hear about the Aquinoe Learning Centre.
The school has re-opened for the term.
The classroom for Class Four has been tiled making it easier for Daisy, who has a wheelchair, to have greater mobility.
Work on the wash rooms for the boys has been started.
The Indian community in Kitale has donated money for more classrooms to be built.
Sheena is about to become our latest volunteer. She flies out to Kenya on Wednesday 25th January and will arrive in Kitale the day after. She will take the small domestic flight to Eldoret where she will be picked up by Josphat and taken on to the school.
