Daisy Chepteek

Age: 14 years

Daisy is from the Pokot tribe, in which girls traditionally are not educated.

Daisy is a bright girl and had polio which particularly affected her legs.   She has to use a wheelchair.

Daisy's mother is very keen that Daisy attends school and she carries her on her back for several kilometres from her home to the road where she begs a lift to Kitale.

Daisy has physiotherapy regularly at Aquinoe and splints are used on her legs.  This can be painful but she bears the pain without complaint.

Daisy has a sponsor: £100 per term.
