For the second year in a row, the race was run in heavy rain. As the runners set off, the heavens opened and the rain continued to pour down throughout the course of the ten mile race.
The event takes place in Southsea, Portsmouth in October every year, and is one of the most popular road races in the UK as it follows a flat course and therefore produces fast times. GSR Homepage
Patrick Corlett, son of Aquinoe trustee Jean, participated in the race for the second consecutive year with his friend and work colleague, Tim Raw.
This time Patrick, wearing his Aquinoe tee-shirt, was able to donate the money he collected in sponsorship to the ALC Charitable Trust. He ran very well and, despite an injured knee, clocked up a time of 1 hour, fifty one minutes and fifty three seconds.
Patrick collected over £180, for which the trustees are very grateful.
