Nine intrepid walkers braved the rain and light winds to enjoy a nine mile stroll around Hever and Leigh in Kent. Thirsts were quenched at two pub stops, where we took a light lunch in the first and an indulgent pudding in the second.
Feet were wet, but spirits high as we welcomed new walkers as well as a few veterans from previous expeditions. We strayed into a field populated with boisterous young bullocks who went on the attack but we found safety on a bridge over a stream. By early evening we were on the warm train home looking back on a lively and enjoyable stroll.
