Due to Jean’s coming “retirement” trip to the other side of the world, the quiz was held much earlier this year. The venue was a new one – St Thomas’ Primary School in Groombridge. Although the weather was dreadful, ten teams turned out and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Many people had donated prizes to the raffle, and we offer our thanks for these gifts. The raffle was well supported £171 was raised through the sale of tickets.
Once again, the charity had been given some “end of season” lines from JC, a kind shop owner, this time hats and bags, which we offered for sale. Tina had been busy making more of her stylish bags which were also on display for sale. £121 was collected from the “shop” area.
Overall the quiz was, once again, a huge success, and raised over £600 for the school.
