On Saturday 6th June Gordon and Liz, consistent supporters of Aquinoe, hosted celebrations for Gordon’s 70th birthday and instead of presents he asked people to give a donation Aquinoe Learning Centre, if they wished. It was a great tribute to him that the huge sum of £600 was raised from Gordon’s family and friends. The money donated is to be used to buy a variety of books to start a library which is sadly lacking at the moment.
They were fabulous hosts; the party was held in their beautiful garden and the weather was kind although there was marquee cover just in case! Gordon’s friend Gary provided some of the food and then turned into the musician so there was dancing on the lawn. A lovely event and we all want to thank the generosity of Gordon, his family and friends for supporting ALC.
