We were delighted when Boots for Africa donated fifty pairs of football boots to the charity. DHL Express Sheffield was approached and asked if the company would transport the boots to Kenya. The manager had no hesitation in agreeing to this, for which we are very grateful.
We had hoped that the boots would arrive at the school before Christmas, but unfortunately customs officials in Kenya held up delivery.
We are very pleased to announce that, not only have the boots now arrived at Aquinoe Learning Centre, but the pupils are wearing them! Josphat Shaduma, Director of the school says “…if you saw the excitement on the faces of the children you would really know how valuable they are”.
