Linda, Jean, Dave and Chris sold more donated items at the Village Hall in Five Oak Green in February and March. We loaded up the cars with the usual items – books, CDs, DVDs, toiletries, clothes, shoes, accessories, jewellery, games, toys, candles and kitchen utensils.
We ran a tombola as a new addition to the stall, with a variety of prizes for the punters who pulled out the lucky tickets. This was a success on both occasions and boosted funds considerably meaning that we took £78.90 in February and £60 in March.
Because this indoor event is so much smaller than the “normal” outdoor bootfairs, there is a certain camaraderie which has built up between the regular stall holders and, despite not making large amounts of money, we have enjoyed the experience.
