On Saturday 21st August 2010, sixteen people took part in a walk to raise money for ALC. Now in its third year, August’s charity walk discovered the striking coutryside between Milford and Haslemere.
The scenery was diverse, and we took in over ten miles of the Surrey countryside, including the very misty Devil’s Punchbowl.
We also enjoyed a wonderful meal; so wonderful we stopped for over two hours to enjoy it. We welcomed many new walkers as well as some veterans from the last two years’ trips along the South Downs. It was a great day with lots of laughter, new friendships and of course some fundraising.
The walkers raised £112 for ALC, so thank you to everyone for their generosity and good company. See you next year!
