Term began on 6th September. During the first week, about two hundred pupils have returned, with another one hundred expected in the coming days.
The situation is rather different from that in the UK as pupils turn up when they can, sometimes a week or so after the official start of term.
Classes Seven and Eight also spent two weeks at the school over the holiday in the middle of August. This was to help the pupils with revision prior to the last term of the school year in Kenya. These sessions are particularly important for the pupils in Class Eight as their final examinations are looming, the results of which will determine which secondary school they may attend.
