The ALC Charitable Trust has transferred £4,982.91 to the Aquinoe Learning Centre in Kitale.
The charity has been very fortunate in receiving many donations in the last few weeks to add to the sums from regular donations and fund raising.
The first money transfer of 2011 will, as usual, be used to provide “extras” at the school. In addition to our regular contributions for specialist staff and sponsorship for individual pupils, this will be spent on the following:
- Completing the dormitory for the youngest pupils;
- Tables and chairs for some of the classrooms;
- National Curriculum books – adding to current stock;
- Library equipment;
- Specialist training
