The atmosphere in Kenya has been very tense as the candidates have been canvassing for votes.
The 2008 elections produced many violent clashes, particularly after the results were announced, so we hope that things will remain calm now that Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has been proclaimed as the winner.
Josphat, Director of the Aquinoe Learning Centre, was appointed as an electoral official in Kitale and reported that the campaign had been stormy with some people resorting to fighting to make their political points.
