Dave Thompson and four members of his family are all set to run in a big 10 km event round London’s Olympic Park on Sunday, July 17.

Dave, 71, and his son Chris took part last year and will be joined this time by his daughter Marie, stepson Patrick and son-in-law Ed.
All five have been training for the last few weeks and are looking forward to a great day along with thousands of others.
The route takes runners round Olympic Park, past the Aquatics Centre, the Copper Box Arena and the Velo Cycling Park before the finish in the Olympic Stadium – with Chariots of Fire blasting out over the PA syatem.
Dave, husband of Aquinoe founder Jean, says: “It was a terrific moment last year when Chris and I ran into the stadium in front of thousands of people and with the music helping lift us over the line crossed in 2012 by such as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt.
“It will be extra special this year with so many more members of the family, including Marie who had flown in from Dubai as part of a three-week stay over here.”
Aquinoe supporters and friends have as ever been most generous in their support but there’s still chance for anyone to donate by using the MyDonate button on this page.
